The MentorCult Demo Day took place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 15:00 EEST, concluding the first entrepreneurial mentoring program of the Greek BCT Excellence Hub. The online event attracted international participation, with attendees joining from Italy, France, Spain, Malta, Bulgaria, Tanzania, Poland,and Greece.
In total, 8 teams from 5 countries (Greece, Poland, Italy, France, and Spain) competed in the final stage. The teams included 19 members, achieving full gender balance with 8 males and 11 females. Each team was given seven minutes to pitch their idea, followed by a five-minute Q&A session with the judges.
The participating teams were Muotech, aqCONterra, Arqueo Drone, Past Mariners, WreckQuest, 3D Mare, i-Scuba Diving, and UCTS (Underwater Cultural and Technical Support). Their projects were evaluated against a set of criteria that included market need, market size, competitive advantage, business model, team readiness, pitching quality, social and environmental impact, and investment readiness.
The Judges Panel was composed of experts from both academia and industry: Christos Grapsas (Head of Alumil future tech department, Alumil), Konstantinos Tramantzas (General Manager, Alexander Innovation Zone), Dimitrios Tzovaras (Research Director, CERTH/ITI), George Karantonis (Partner, Metavallon VC), and Fabio Bruno (Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical, Energetics and Management Engineering, University of Calabria).
Finaly, 4 awards were presented during the event. The Greater Growth Potential Award was given to i-Scuba Diving, while the Best Pitching Award went jointly to aqCONterra and Past Mariners. The Greatest Social & Environmental Impact Award was presented to Past Mariners, and the Best Investment Readiness Award was awarded once again to i-Scuba Diving.
The event marked an important milestone for MentorCult, highlighting the potential of innovative entrepreneurial ideas and fostering international collaboration in the fields of Business, Technology, and Cultural Heritage.
