BCThubs Recognized as an EU Success Story and Winner of the WestMED Best Project Award 2025

BCThubs is proud to announce its official recognition as a Success Story by the WestMED Initiative and the European Commission Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE).

This distinction follows BCThubs’ recent achievement as the winner of the WestMED Best Project Award 2025 in the Maritime Clusters category, further highlighting the project’s strong impact in the field of Underwater Cultural Heritage (UCH) and Blue Culture Technologies.

The award was received by AquaBioTech Group, one of the project’s key partners of the Malta Hub.

This recognition underscores the consortium’s contribution to advancing innovation, sustainability, and collaboration across the Mediterranean region. Through its national hubs, BCThubs has successfully developed and tested innovative solutions while fostering cooperation among research institutions, public authorities, industry stakeholders, and training organizations.

These achievements mark an important milestone for the project and highlights its role in shaping innovative and sustainable solutions for the protection and valorization of Europe’s Underwater Cultural Heritage.
